Who are we ?

Our story: the evolution of L'Amphitryon, a guest house in Oloron-Sainte-Marie in Béarn

The dream of creating a warm and welcoming guesthouse took root more than twenty-five years ago, inspired by our experiences and encounters as hosts. Although our professional paths and family lives postponed this project, 2021 marked a turning point. We decided to take over L'Amphitryon , a charming guesthouse located in Oloron-Sainte-Marie , the capital of the Haut-Béarn region in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques .

By settling in this magnificent region, we chose to embark on a new adventure. A new life, a natural and mountainous environment, a peaceful living environment…

Preserving the spirit of the place

L'Amphitryon is nestled in an 18th-century building, a former presbytery , a witness to centuries of history: a place whose spirit we felt it essential to preserve while respecting the environment and local heritage.

Since our establishment, we have implemented renovations with local craftsmen to offer our guests a harmonious and authentic setting, respecting the architecture and heritage of the Haut-Béarn .

All of these measures were implemented following a structured eco-responsible approach that allowed us to be the2nd guest house in the greater Southwest to be certified with the European EcoLabel .
